Seth Lover's fabled "Patent Applied For" humbucking pickups were added to the Les Paul model in 1957. These dual-coil pickups, quieter yet more powerful than the single coil P-90s that preceded them, combined with the ABR-1 to create a guitar with unprecedented sustain and tone. The 1957 Goldtop Historic Reissue is equipped with BurstBuckers to faithfully replicate the warm, vocal quality and rich harmonic content of the legendary originals. Now part of Gibson's proprietary new Vintage Original Spec series -- the next step in their journey toward perfection.

The Gibson LP295 Goldtop Electric Guitar sets the classic appointments of Gibson's renowned ES295 onto the body and neck of the celebrated Les Paul. The standard Les Paul cutaway gives way to the wider Florentine cutaway normally found on such legendary Gibson models as the Byrdland, the ES175, and, of course, the ES295. The hand-painted, cream-colored pickguard with gold flowers is also styled after the ES295s, as are the split parallelograms inlays, and the chrome Bigsby tailpiece. Graphite nut and bridge saddles offer better string control when using the Bigsby.

The Gibson Les Paul Push Tone Electric Guitar represents a huge innovation for guitarists. Changing pickups has never been easier. A new Gibson-designed system allows players to push the pickups out of the guitar, disconnect the wire clips, and plug in a new set of pickups in a matter of minutes. The new Les Paul Push Tone comes with two sets of Gibson pickups - a set of Burstbucker Pros and a set of P94s - or mix and match the two for a broad selection of tonal combinations.

Featuring an ultra thin, two-horned body, the SG Series addressed two of what Ted McCarty saw as the major issues of the now-retired Les Paul body style: weight and limited access to the upper treble register. The new body shape of the SG Standard was dramatically lighter than the old Les Paul, and offered access to the entire fretboard. Now part of Gibson's proprietary new Vintage Original Spec series -- the next step in their journey toward perfection.
