The Gibson Custom Shop Johnny Winter Firebird V is a recreation of his iconic instrument down to every last detail and is a tribute to a true blues master, and his most beloved guitar. Since the 1960s, Johnny Winter has been cranking out some of the meanest & most spellbinding slide guitar ever recorded. For decades he has relied on one guitar - a 1963 Gibson Firebird V.

The Jimi Hendrix stack consists of the Super 100JH head, the angled 1982AJH 4x12 in. and the extra-tall, straight-fronted 1982BJH 4x12 in. cabinets. The original versions of this iconic, tall, pinstriped stack were built in 1966 and the Super 100 head was the immediate successor to Marshall's first ever 100-Watt head -- the famous dual output transformer JTM45/100.

In 1960 the Les Paul Standard still had the flame maple top, sunburst finish, and "Patent Applied For" pickups of its predecessors, but a slim taper neck was added for a decidedly different feel. These final adjustments failed to save the Standard, however, and after 1960 the single cutaway Les Paul was replaced by the thin bodied, double cutaway SG.

You may not know this, but Custom Shop Signature artist Zakk Wylde has very strong ties to the US military and his original Camo Les Paul (a modified '80s Les Paul Custom) was created to fly his patriot's flag. The new Custom SHop version of this unique guitar combines the best aspects of Zakk's signature Bullyseye Les Paul (unfinished Maple neck, EMG pickups) with a Maple fretboard and super-bad Camouflage finish to do the same for you.
